My Dear old dad rip
Passed away at the Weekend.

Came over from Ireland and met my mum at the Buffalo Club in Camden. So of you may know it as the Electric Ballroom. Back then it was a dance hall, and my dad used to play the drums in an Irish band (way before Ed Sheeran).and pulled her.

When they were stepping out mum worked over in Plaistow Hospital was it was then. Dad would go up to see her and whilst waiting for shift to end would pop into West Ham to catch a game.

Eventually they got married and moved over to Chiswick.

Had 4 boys and brought us all up to follow West Ham.

Told us they played football the right way. Passed down to me and now my son

His favourite player in later years was Sir Trev,as apart from being a great footballer was a gent.

My dad was a real gent. Thanks dad rip.

Sorry to hear that YC.

Impressive to pull as a drummer. Usually only the singer pulls as everyone else is packing up their stuff after a gig.

Best wishes to you and yours. ⚒

YC

Touching tribute

Been through this, and if it helps, a couple of words

It hurts because it was better to have had and lost than not

And with time, the rawness recedes to an ache, and then a sad/happy reflection

My best wishes and RIP to our Dads

Sad news but wonderful memories you have of him. Cherish those.

Did you and your brothers ever forgive him for getting you all into West Ham?
